Living in Korea for a couple of years,I've come to realize the discomforts,or rather cultural shocks, which most of the foreigners face while in Korea. One of them formidably relates to the culinary fiasco most foreigners seem to deem unbearable.
As my first post I will present some the Korean delicacies which are different from the usually 'spicy' and 'hot' flavor.
Sullung Tang is a variation for a normal stew made from boiling bones(beef) for a period of long time.(approx. 10-12 hours or more). It is served with slices of boiled beef and thin noodles with spring onions. The flavor of the beef broth and the noodle compliment each other deliciously. It is normal served with a bowl of rice and kimchi (김지). Adding salt, soy sauce and pepper powder depends on your taste as you are served the stew separately and not seasoned.
